Zeneida Parente is a dedicated educator, researcher, and expert in business and communication studies with a global perspective shaped by extensive academic achievements and professional experience.
Zeneida holds a Doctor of Business Administration in International Business from California Miramar University, where her dissertation explored cross-cultural perspectives on business ethics education between Brazil and the United States. She also earned a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from California State University, Los Angeles, with a thesis examining cultural differences in teacher immediacy and classroom communication apprehension.
Her academic foundation is further bolstered by a dual Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Communication Studies from universities in Maranhão, Brazil. Zeneida also holds a teaching license in Arts and Letters, which underpins her commitment to fostering engaging and inclusive learning environments.
Experience
- With over a decade of teaching experience, Zeneida has served as a professor at several community colleges and esteemed institutions in the Los Angeles area. Her teaching portfolio includes courses in public speaking, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, health communication, marketing and international business.
- Activist enthusiast, Zeneida hosts the podcast EcoEcho LA, where students have a channel for sharing their speeches on how to create climate action in the neighborhoods surrounding high schools of Los Angeles,

- As a researcher, Zeneida has contributed significantly to her field, presenting at international conferences such as the International Communication Association Conference in Brazil and the Knowledge Management Conference in Cambridge, UK. Her research interests encompass international business, business ethics, cross-cultural communication, instructional communication and innovative pedagogies.
